On Wednesday April 16th  Andrea Brady & Jennifer Moxley will read poems in McCosh 40 at 4.30pm.

A reception will follow the reading.

Andrea Brady
Andrea Brady has published numerous books of poetry, including Dompteuse (2014), Cut from the Rushes (2013), Mutability: Scripts for Infancy (2012), Wildfire: A Verse Essay (2010), Embrace (2005) and Vacation of a Lifetime (2001). With Keston Sutherland, Andrea runs Barque Press. Her scholarly publications include English Funerary Elegy in the Seventeenth Century: Laws in Mourning (2006) and The Uses of the Future in Early Modern Europe (2009), co-edited with Emily Butterworth. Her work has been translated into French, German, Spanish, Slovene, Slovak, and Finnish, and has been the subject of a large number of critical essays.

Jennifer Moxley is the author of five books of poetry, most recently Clampdown (Flood 2009), a book of essays, and a memoir. In addition, she has translated three books from the French. Her poems have been included in two Norton Anthologies, Postmodern American Poetry and American Hybrid. Her book The Sense Record (2002) was picked as one of the five best poetry books of the year by both Stride magazine (UK) and Small Press Traffic (US). In 2005 she was granted the Lynda Hull Poetry Award from Denver Quarterly. Her poem “Behind the Orbits” was included by Robert Creeley in The Best American Poetry 2002. She is Professor of Poetry and Poetics at the University of Maine.
