About the Poets:

Cathy Linh Che is a writer and multidisciplinary artist. She is the author of Becoming Ghost (Washington Square Press, 2025),  Split (Alice James Books) and co-author, with Kyle Lucia Wu, of the children’s book An Asian American A to Z: a Children’s Guide to Our History (Haymarket Books). Her video installation Appocalips is an Open Call commission with The Shed NY, and her film We Were the Scenery won the Short Film Jury Award: Nonfiction at the Sundance Film Festival. She teaches as Core Faculty in Poetry at the low residency MFA program in Creative Writing at Antioch University in Los Angeles and works as Executive Director at Kundiman. She lives in New York City.

Emily Hockaday (she/her) is the author of Blood Music (Harbor Editions 2025), In a Body (Harbor Editions 2023), Naming the Ghost (Cornerstone Press 2022), and six chapbooks. She is a De Groot Foundation Writer of Note and has received grants from Flushing Town Hall, the NYFA Queens Art Fund, Café Royal Cultural Foundation, and NY City Artist Corps. Emily writes about ecology, parenthood, the urban environment, and chronic illness. She can be found online at www.emilyhockaday.com and @E_Hockaday.

Allyson Paty is the author of Jalousie (Tupelo Press, 2025), winner of the 2023 Berkshire Prize, and several chapbooks, most recently Five O’Clock on the Shore (above/ground press, 2019). Recent publications include poems in Denver Quarterly and Denver Quarterly’s FIVESPoetryThe Recluse, and The Yale Review, and nonfiction in The Baffler. A 2017 NYSCA/NYFA Artist Fellow in Poetry and a participant in the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council’s 2017-2018 Workspace Program, Allyson Paty is co-founding editor of Singing Saw Press. She works and teaches at NYU Gallatin and with NYU’s Prison Education Program.

Jason Schneiderman is the author of five poetry collections, most recently Hold Me Tight (Red Hen, 2020), and including the forthcoming Self Portrait of Icarus as a Country on Fire (Red Hen, 2024). He edited the anthology Queer: A Reader for Writers (Oxford UP 2016). His poems and essays have appeared in numerous journals and anthologies. His awards include the Emily Dickinson Award, the Shestack Award and a Fulbright Fellowship. He is longtime co-host of the podcast Painted Bride Quarterly Slush Pile and a guest host for The Slowdown. He is Professor of English at the Borough of Manhattan Community College and teaches in the MFA Program for Writers at Warren Wilson College.
