The Editors of Inventory, a Princeton-based journal of literary translation, invite you the Princeton University Art Museum for the launch of Inventory N°1.

Champagne and light refreshments will be provided courtesy of the Museum and the Department of Comparative Literature.

Inventory N°1 features translations from 17 languages, including selections from Lydia Davis’ new translation of Madame Bovary and Suzanne Jill Levine’s The Lizard Without Its Tail, as well as new translations of Umberto Eco, Geoffrey Chaucer, Francis Ponge and Severo Sarduy. Issues of Inventory N°1 will be available at the launch, as well as online and in select bookstores.

Inventory publishes thoughtful translations from any language into English and focuses critical attention on translation theory and practice. The journal is made possible by the generous support of the Department of Comparative Literature and the Graduate School.
