This year’s Poets House Poetic City program celebrates the power of well-crafted words by bringing together two of the city’s finest poets with two songwriters known for their lyrical gifts.

Brooklyn Poet Laureate Tina Chang and Queens Poet Laureate Paolo Javier will offer readings from their diverse and disparate bodies of work. Iconic New York songwriter Suzanne Vega will perform songs from her new work and repertoire, preceded by a concert from emerging talent Gabriel Kahane. This is sure to be an extraordinary summer evening of poetry and music.
